Year 5 Denny Abbey trip

We are planning on going to Denny Abbey Farmland for a Victorian day. During the visit, children will have the chance to:

• Washday where children will see and get to have a go at washing their clothes like a Victorian with authentic equipment

• Play like a Victorian where children will get to play with Victorian toys and discuss how they have changed over time.

• A guided tour of Denny Abbey – where we will learn about Denny Abbey, how it has changed over time and what it was like during the Victoria era

• Rag rugging craft where the students will be able to take home a small rag rugged square using a technique that was common in the Victorian period.
