Values

Our values underpin our learning behaviours and flow through our curriculum.  They identify us as a team and unite us in a shared vision. At Kingsfield, we believe that school should be a safe place to learn, where all members of the school community are respectful to one another and where everyone takes responsibility for themselves and others.

This is why our school rules are Respectful, Responsible and Safe - so that we can show through our words and actions, how we follow these rules, and grow together in a caring environment.

In our school, we are: Respectful, Responsible and Safe. Each class knows exactly what our rules look like in practice as the visuals are dual-coded, visible in all areas of the school and referred to in all assemblies. We also display our overarching class rule of ‘Nobody is allowed to disrupt the learning of others’.

Our rules are:
Respectful, Responsible, Safe

British Values

Learning is planned for within our PSHCE Curriculum, but also threaded through opportunities for Key Stages throughout the year. According to Ofsted, British Values are defined as:

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual respect for, and tolerance of, those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.
